Draft — under reviewLast updated October 8, 2026. Crude Code (CrudeCode, LLC) runs mineralrights.ai and is responsible for what is described here.
What we collect
- Your email address, to send you a sign-in link and to reach you about your account.
- The revenue statement you upload. Statements usually show your name, your address and your owner number.
- The report built from your statement, and the questions you ask about it.
- Your IP address, and records of when you signed in and when you ran a valuation. We use these to run the service and to limit abuse.
How your statement is used
Your statement is read by an AI model, Claude, made by Anthropic and used through Anthropic's API. It finds your wells in public state records and writes your report.
[BG: legal review — confirm how Anthropic handles API data under its terms before we describe it]
Who else handles your information
- Anthropic reads your statement and writes the report, as above.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the site, and sends our email (sign-in links) through its email service, Amazon SES.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with your operator. We use no advertising or analytics services on the site at launch.
How long we keep it
Your statement, your report and your questions are deleted 30 days after you upload. That includes the copy held by Anthropic for your valuation.
We keep your account email, and a record that a valuation ran (without its contents), so we can count usage and run the service. To have your account deleted, email us.
Who can see it
Only your signed-in account can open your report. Anyone else who tries sees a "not found" page. The people who run the service can see the records in our system. We get a notification email when a new account is created and when a valuation finishes.
Cookies
One cookie, a session cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. If we are holding the site behind a password before launch, there is also a cookie that remembers you entered it. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.
If you ask to talk to a buyer
Nothing about you goes to a buyer unless you press the button that asks us to connect you. [BG: this button is not built yet. Say here what is shared with a buyer when you press it.]
Not advice
mineralrights.ai is informational. It is not legal, tax or investment advice, and it does not decide whether you were paid correctly.
